Ryan & Kelsey [Langley Engagement Photography]

I’ve known Kelsey for quite a few years now and surprisingly enough the last time she was in front of my camera was when I lived on the island (she did too)! I like to joke I followed her there from Chilliwack, then followed her back from the island to Langley! She has such a big bright and fun personality that is amazing to be around.

A couple weeks ago she broke the news to me that her guy Ryan had popped the question on New Years (how romantic) and she would love for me to photograph her big day. I am always extra honoured when friends ask me to do their photography, so immediately I jumped at the chance to photograph hers in July – even if it’s on my own boyfriend’s birthday (sorry baby).

Anyone would be lucky to have Kelsey in their lives and Ryan is definitely at the top of that list. I didn’t get a chance to meet him before we did this engagement session but once I did I could see right away they made each other sparkle!

I loved this session, not only was in one of my favourite parts of North Langley at Derby Reach Regional Park, the air was crisp and cold and it was super sunny! Something that is usually only awesome in the non-summer months. The cold air definitely made for some photos with a little something extra, literally since you can see breath around them, and figuratively since I think it made them get even cozier.
