P&D’s Couples Photography Session in Delta
December 22, 2016K&B’s Wedding in Fort Langley
January 5, 2017This year has really started to prove how small the world can be, where everyone is just connected – I love it! Funny enough, Amy and I actually graduated together from Sardis Secondary in Chilliwack, but when she found me online she had just recognized my name as we had never really hung out with the same people and it’s been quite a few years since high school. We both had moved away and come back (well I didn’t come all the way back to Chilliwack, but close enough) and I was so happy that she found me. To make things even more connected, I had actually met Mark once a few years ago. He had worked for the same web design company as me in Chilliwack, except just at different times. When we met up to discuss wedding photography we both recognized each other and eventually figured out that connection as well! I had visited the company once in the past with Farfel when I was in town so we had briefly met.
Anyway since Mark and Amy are getting married in March we had to schedule their engagement session pretty quick. We did this a few weeks ago on a very rainy day in November and started out in Abbotsford near the Chilliwack/Abby border and then finished out in the trails of Yarrow. I think these two were perfect for it though as it didn’t bother them and they actually embraced it and really made it work. It’s a good example of how sometimes even “crappy” weather can bring magic that you don’t get on a beautiful sunny day or even the overcast days we kind of hope for… Though me not so much anymore as that’s just boring and easy. ;) Mark has a keen interest in photography as well so I was a bit nervous photographing these two, but as the day went on we had such a good time it just faded away and I got into what I love most – photographing love.
Check out some of my favourites from their session in Abbotsford/Chilliwack – we picked two spots!
