James & Marie’s Engagement Session at Golden Ears Park in Maple Ridge
April 11, 2019Steph & Tyler’s Adventure Engagement Session at Harrison Lake
May 25, 2019New Years Eve has never really been a huge thing for me unless I’m actually somewhere special (like that time I spent it in New York!) so when Andrew Lukianiuk Photography asked me to second shoot on Bowen Island I was definitely down – especially as I don’t second shoot often due to our already busy schedules. I love weddings that are around events like New Years because they always have a little extra flair. Plus, I’ve been wanting to photograph out at Bowen Island and it was the perfect opportunity!
I headed over the morning of the wedding on a very cold but nice day. Jumping right into the getting ready it was clear to see that this was going to be a fun, relaxed wedding. Matt and Lindsay were a pleasure to be around and very easy going. We photographed a beautiful ceremony on the long dock off Bowen Island Lodge where it was windy and cold but we were thankful there was not a raindrop in sight. Some portraits along the ocean and back to the lodge for a vibrant reception. I fell in love with the reception area in itself as it resembled the Cabins at Terrace beach so much – where we had our wedding. Here’s some shots from my perspective of the day.
