Jill & Kevin’s Vancouver Engagement Session at False Creek/Science World
October 28, 2015Mini Langley Family Sessions: Shelly & her boys
October 29, 2015When I had first met Brenda and Mike, I remember distinctly sitting back and just listening to them tell their story of what they visioned their wedding to be like. Mostly with some sarcastic comments from Mike and Brenda apologizing for his craziness. I love crazy and after about 10 minutes I finally chirped in and showed a bit of my crazy side too. I think that’s when I won Brenda over: she always says she picked me because I could handle Mike’s odd sense of humour (and let’s be honest, it’s right up my ally).
Brenda was definitely one of the brides I spent the most time with this year. With two engagement sessions, I mean, we did one at a firehall and we kept running into each other, we built a good friendship over the last nine or so months. We bonded over lululemon, doggies and long chats and by the time their wedding came around it was amazing to spend this day with these two amazing people. Something about watching two people who have let you into their lives so openly get married just makes it that much more meaningful. This wedding was full of emotion like no other, jokes and laughs at their finest and of course, a fire truck. I rode in a fire truck all day. Win win! Mix that with a beautiful day, great portrait locations and a lantern lighting at the end of the night and we have a win all around.
Thanks to Stephanie Steiner again for second shooting and being my awesome sidekick.
