Bria & Mike’s Backyard Wedding in Abbotsford

We met Bria at the Authentic & Local Artisan Wedding Show last year and right away we bonded over our love for dogs, backyard weddings and rustic vibes. So when her and Mike got in touch with me a few days after the show to meetup about the wedding, I was stoked! Getting to know these two was a pleasure with their big fluffy dogs, we had done their engagement session during cherry blossom – frolicking through the Chilliwack army base and when there was tree climbing involved and puppies, I knew their wedding day was going to be a blast as well.

Fast forward to August and their wedding day had finally arrived! The threat of rain lingered throughout the day but cleared at all the perfect times. To be honest it was also a nice break from the smokey skies that had come around again this year. These two got married in their own gorgeous backyard surrounded by all their favourite people and did their photos out in Abbotsford’s Bateman Park. I love how much detail went into making sure everyone had a good time – from hammocks to a fire pit to the photo booth Ryan ended up manning for a few hours (get it, Mann-ing…). From giggling moments to pies instead of cakes, this day was amazing to a part of and here are some of our favourite shots:
