Kayla & Dan’s Deer Lake Engagement Session [Vancouver Wedding Photographer]

Kayla & Dan are the type of people that as soon as you are around them you just feel at ease – super relaxed and just a pleasure to be around. Not to mention very easy going, so much that when I told them that their original Saturday wedding date was booked, they asked about changing it to the Sunday instead so I could be available! How cool is that?

Although their wedding is in South Surrey, we headed out to their neck of the woods in Burnaby to do their engagement photos at Deer Lake. Honestly I could do a ton of sessions here as it has so much variety and a beautiful setting. I’ve done wedding photos and engagement sessions there before but I realized it was always out of season, either winter, fall or spring before all the flowers came in. So when we came across some gorgeous rhododendron trees I was in heaven! Mix that with the stunning light we had and this is an eye candy session for sure.
