James & Marie’s Engagement Session at Golden Ears Park in Maple Ridge

Marie & James contacted me last summer in order to book their wedding out in Kitsilano, and with our schedules it was a bit too crazy to meet up in the middle so we actually had a Skype meeting! We do a lot of online meetings for our clients who are from out of town, so it was no different and saved us both some gas money and the need to wear pants! ;)

So when we met up for the engagement session last week, it was our first official meeting in person! However, Marie and I have been working on the wedding plans back and forth for a couple months now so right away it felt like we knew each other and jumped right into a hug. Let’s be honest though – I usually just hug people anyway… You know, spreading love and all.

Marie & James wanted a place that had mountains, forest and some water – BAM – I had the perfect place for them. As we all know, Golden Ears Park is one of my favourite places to photograph and so I knew this would be the perfect fit for them. It did NOT disappoint. I’m so proud of these images and with two people as easy to get along with and take pictures of as these two – no surprise there.
