J&L’s Mission Engagement Session at Fraser River Heritage Park

When I met Jay and Leanne last summer at Starbucks to book their wedding… It was an easy connection from the beginning. These two had a classic small town love story of working together and eventually growing a friendship into love. They’ve built a life just outside mission with their two little guys and after so many adventures already decided it was time to tie the knot! Officially! I say officially since these two are pretty much married already in all aspects except the legal one. I think their kids are the most excited their parents are getting hitched! ;) I’m super excited to photograph this wedding next year at the charming Clayburn Village School House out near the Abby-Mission highway in Abbotsford, it has so much character and the perfect little spot for this family to celebrate their lifetime love. Leanne had originally wanted to have their wedding at the Fraser River Heritage Park in Mission which is close to where they live, but since they are no longer allowing weddings the Clayburn Village School House was the next best thing. Too bad as I’ve photographed a wedding at the Heritage Park a few years ago and it’s a beautiful spot. So, since they couldn’t get married there we decided to do their engagement photos instead! This was a special type of engagement session as we started it off as a family style session, then sent the boys off with their grandma and did some photos of just the mrs. and mr. to be! Love this park and SO glad the rain held off for us as it was pretty much our only chance to do the photos before Christmas.
