Justin & Courtney [Victoria Engagement Photography]

October 7, 2014

Courtney got a hold of me earlier this year after seeing Justin & Claire’s Merridale Cidery photos from last year and wanted to book me for her wedding photos. As I always love to do island weddings and Courtney & Justin’s wedding is at Maple Grove Guest House in Duncan next year, I was super stoked at the prospect of working with them. Then once I had a good long chat with Courtney on the phone, we knew that we would be a good fit for each other and booked her day.

After what seemed like forever, but also flew by quickly (makes sense right), we met up for the first time and did their engagement session at the end of September. Choosing a few spots around Sooke Pot Holes and also at a random spot by the road in Metchosin we got to know each other better and I can honestly say we connected so well and I can’t WAIT to come back next year in September to photograph their big day. For now, here’s a few of my favourite engagement photos…

Not going to lie, would love a little more snow so I can go skiing next week.

I’d also love some to do some photos in. Snow is such a beautiful, natural light reflector that makes your images pop!

Anyone who knows me, knows that you take me into the woods for your photos and I am a happy photog! Of course today did not disappoint with that softer fall sunshine peeking through the trees at Golden Ears. Perfect way to kick off fall photos after not photographing clients for almost a month. 💜🌲
