J&L’s Mission Engagement Session at Fraser River Heritage Park
November 19, 2016Miss C’s Boudoir Session in Langley
December 19, 2016Kelli & Mychal were originally getting married next year and decided to move up their date to this past November. Unfortunately for them they had to scramble a bit to switch it all over and weren’t able to keep their original photographer. That photographer put me in touch with them and I’m so glad they did! Kelli & Mychal are easy going, fun and vibrant people who also happen to have a pair of Dachshunds. Yes. Dachshunds (they even ended up using our book as a guestbook). My kind of people! We weren’t able to meet up before their big day so we just had a quick Skype meeting to get to know each other and then I showed up at the beautiful Granville Island Hotel on a very rainy and wet day to photograph their wedding! They opted for a first look which was perfect since they wanted a 7pm ceremony on a day where the sun went down around 4:30pm (if there had been sun that day), but with a willing wedding party, a few umbrellas we managed to get some neat shots outside and then throughout the hotel. One thing I DO love about rain is the magic you can make with some lighting which you’ll see below. Afterwards we hung out for a bit and then headed over to the False Creek Community Centre (Granville Island) for a beautiful ceremony and led right into a reception. Congrats again Kelli & Mychal and best wishes for your family! Check out some of my favourites from this wet day. Shout out to Ryan for helping me and an extra shoutout to Railtown Catering, it was AMAZING food.
