K&C’s Whonnock Lake Engagement Session [Maple Ridge Photographer]

Kelsey and Calvin live out in Alberta, so our first “meeting” was via skype. Right away I knew they were easy going and fun to talk to. They had originally booked me for a date at a venue out in Mission but after being able to check it out they had to change their mind, but luckily they were able to switch it to somewhere else and keep their date (and me!!) Yay! I’m so glad they did because when we got together on Christmas Eve for their engagement session I knew that they are going to have a great wedding. Since they were only in town for Christmas it was pretty much the only day we could do their photos and they had thought of having their wedding at Whonnock Lake but it was booked so we did the engagement photos! We lucked out with the snow (phew) and it was so gorgeous. Not to mention with it being Christmas Eve there was NO one there! So we spent some time in the cold getting to know each other some more, hanging out with their dog (seriously, almost every one of my clients are dog people), and trucking through the snow.

I can’t wait for their wedding in July, but for now enjoy a very-contrast-to-summer snowy session.
