Sharan’s Head Shots / Portraits in Langley

July 16, 2016The story of how Taran, Christina and I met is a bit of an unfortunate one. A few months ago I had gotten an email from another photographer based out of White Rock saying that she had some clients that she was no longer able to photograph their wedding due to an unfortunate event. This woman is so kind and amazing that during her own bad situation all she could think about was making sure that her clients were taken care of (now that’s dedication and I hope I’d be able to do the same in a similar situation). Anyway she had contacted me saying that she liked my work as well, a huge compliment coming from another photographer, and wanted to put me in touch with this bride and groom that were her clients so I could hopefully take over for them. I’m so thankful that we were able to cross paths and that I was able to take over for her with the date still open. So thank you Trisha Bunn for finding me!
Back to Taran and Christina – when I met them I loved their energy: super friendly, kind and just my kind of people. They were getting married at Hope Golf Club (a venue I had been wanting to photograph at) and they were what you would call my typical target client in all ways – from personality to the kind of moments they wanted captured at their wedding. Once we were all settled and booked – I was super excited to be able to work with them and help out another photographer at the same time!
Once the day came (Canada Day to be exact), I headed out to Hope to the gorgeous Hope Golf Course. Luckily I went out almost two hours early as it was Canada Day and there was a ton of traffic and the classic Langley/Abbotsford accidents on the highway. I still managed to arrive a little early and take my own gander at the beautiful decorations and ceremony site that was set up.
Taran and Christina wanted to have a modified first look and I loved it! First looks are perfect for people who want to calm their nerves a little or give some hugs before they say their I dos. However a lot of people opt out of them because they want the tradition of the groom seeing the bride as she walks down the aisle for the first time. T&C did the perfect combination of blind folding Taran so he couldn’t see his bride to be but they were able to give some hugs and exchange some emotional letters to each other!
This was such an amazing day, from both the love and happiness (Christina your smile is contagious!) that these two clearly radiate and the family and friends that surrounded them to the gorgeous scenery of the Hope Golf Club to make some picture perfect moments. Check out the highlights of their day…
