Alexi & Kevin’s Jewish Wedding in Vancouver [Photo & Video]
March 24, 2019James & Marie’s Engagement Session at Golden Ears Park in Maple Ridge
April 11, 2019When Joanne originally contacted me she admitted they hadn’t really considered a professional photographer for their day as they were a bit camera shy. However, knowing how important those memories were she went on a quest to find a photographer that fit. When she found us, she right away resonated with our love for dachshunds (they have two as well!) and purple and it was an easy connection from the start. When we later met up to book their wedding, I was amazed at how easy it was to get along with them and how easily they laughed with each other – huge in my books!
On the wedding day it was no different and it was a pleasure to be around them for the day. We were out at Hart House in Burnaby (Deer Lake Park) which has always been one of my favourite places to do photos in that area but we had yet to shot at that particular venue so it was extra fun for us. While the forecast had called for rain so they had their ceremony indoors, it ended up being fairly beautiful out which was perfect for some outdoor photos. I’ll admit I was a little worried they would hate me for dragging them around for 45 minutes doing photos but we just poked fun, wandered in the beautiful area of deer lake park and they were SOO easy to photograph. Let that be a lesson folks – most of the time when people hate their photo it’s just because it’s never had a good, relaxed experience that we always aim to give.
Check out some of the highlights from their wedding day… Shoutout to my friend Stef at S&Co Beauty group for that hair and makeup.
