Let me introduce myself, my name is Stefani, owner and head artist of Organic Makeup Artistry based in Surrey BC, one of the first and few makeup and hair companies in Vancouver and the Fraser Valley offering non-toxic, cruelty free and vegan makeup products. Even the hair products I choose are cruelty free and vegan with a few being organic and non-toxic.

Chances are, if cruelty free, vegan and non-toxic are important to you and something you do every day, you don’t want to give that up just for your wedding day. Many think that organic makeup doesn’t compare to other makeup for coverage and long lasting abilities. In fact, organic makeup can have the exact same coverage and long lasting abilities when you are choosing the right products. Coming from someone that has been using mineral makeup on herself for many years before switching her professional kit, I can tell you that I have tried many different brands and spent good and time money searching for the best of the best in the non-toxic, cruelty free and vegan world of cosmetics. I can honestly say that I’ll never go back and it was the best decision I could have made for not only my skin health, but my clients skin health. After learning about what is actually in our personal care products, cosmetics, household cleaning products and more, making the switch was a no brainer for me. You would be surprised at what the FDA is approving to be “safe” when in fact they are known carcinogens, just sitting there in multiple products that you are using every day. The average woman uses 12 products per day. Sure, maybe some of these ingredients are safe in small percentages, but when it’s in almost all to all of the products you are using on a daily basis, well that’s a red flag for toxic overload building up in your skin tissues and organs. At Organic Makeup Artistry, all of our kits are equipped with the finest quality, luxurious, non-toxic, cruelty free and vegan makeup products. Even our hair products are cruelty free and vegan. Our airbrush foundation will last all day through sweat and tears (I’ve seen this in person) and is 100% natural, pure, non-toxic, mineral makeup. This was one of the toughest products for me to find, actually, lash glue was but I found an all natural lash adhesive for strip lashes that is fabulous.

I did not choose to go this route because people are looking for it and I thought I could capitalize on profits. I have done the research and I chose this because I truly believe in taking care of ourselves from the inside out and outside in. I live a very clean lifestyle at home with everything from my personal care and hygiene products, to cosmetics, dish soap, laundry soap, cleaning products, natural medicines, you name it. Now, I do understand it’s impossible be 100% non toxic as there are some things you just can’t avoid. However, I can do what I can to live the cleanest lifestyle possible and choose for myself what I’m willing to live without and what I can’t give up. And I want to make sure you understand that you have the same rights to choose for yourself what you are comfortable with and what you are not. We are all different!
