Quail’s Gate in Kelowna [Couples Photography]

Paul & Ashley were clients of mine a number of years ago now and they started the chain of a whole circle of referrals so I am forever grateful for meeting them. These two plus all the clients who they brought into my life have become friends in one form or another. 

So when I was heading up to Kelowna about a month ago, I was stoked to meet up with them at Quail’s Gate winery and do some photos! They have two little kids now so it was the perfect chance to get out for date night! It had been years since I spent time in the area (probably since I was a kid) so I was excited to explore and experience this beautiful spot in BC. 

Moments before they arrived it was DOWNPOURING! Guys, I thought the Okanagan was dry? Anyway we lucked out because just as we were preparing to call it quits, the rain stopped and just enough sun came out for the vibrant colours I absolutely love. This is actually my favourite lighting – when there is dark clouds in the distance but sun behind you, oh yess!!!
