Sam & Tyler’s Campbell Valley Park Wedding in Langley

Sam and I met through softball this year… Which was quite awesome timing as I have been thinking about joining a team for a few years now and I finally took the plunge! After going through most of the ball season together she approached me to do her wedding and at first I actually said no! *eek* Ryan and I had already made plans to go to the island on vacation on the day of her wedding but when I sat and thought about it (for about a minute) and Sam’s disappointed face I was like heck no, I want to photograph her wedding! I KNOW I could send her some awesome referrals but I would have looked back and saw the photos and regretted it. I’m so glad I ended up doing it as Sam & Tyler are so easy going! They decided to have their wedding at the popular Campbell Valley Park. I photograph here a lot but I love this spot which is evident as I’m often found walking the perimeter with Farfel on a regular basis. However, I hadn’t done a wedding there yet so it was a great opportunity and worked well as I know the park inside and out! The reception was a beautiful backyard tent set up at Sam’s parents house matched the elegance and beauty of any local venue! Add some good food, a live band and a cardboard Hogwart’s castle and it was a sure win.

When they day came we ended up having a gorgeous and sunny afternoon. Ryan came along and helped out with assisting and some video work which was perfect as he has played on the ball team as well and been to almost every game so he knew Sam as well. Plus! Sam’s sister Jess is our coach and she was in the wedding party. ;) The day was full of so much love and of course extra snuggles for Sam & Tyler’s little one who made a few appearances throughout the day. Thank you to Sam and Tyler again for having me along and capturing this day for you. You’ll even see a shot of me doing up Sam’s dress – thanks to Ryan for that one. :)
