Tash & Colten [Aldergrove Photographer]

October 29, 2020

Holy moly it’s been a crazy year. All the obvious stuff aside it’s been insanely busy. Especially as I have been putting a lot of effort into the business side of my photography. That hasn’t stopped all the couples, families, engagements, weddings though! So needless to say this blog has been lacking a bit, but I hope to share some more over the winter!

With this session, I could not wait though. Tash is somewhat like a little sister to me so when she asked me to take some photos of her and her guy Colten, I was definitely on board.

After a few reschedules trying to avoid smoke and rain, we just said screw it – let’s do it no matter what.

We headed out to Aldergrove park, a place that I have been to many times but not photographed as much as I’d like. This was the perfect spot for them on a Friday afternoon with rain threatening us because we had most of the area to ourselves.

Not only are these two super cute and fun to hang out with… not to mention so hawt in their cowboy/cowgirl outfits, they ROCKED the camera too. I really feel like I’ve been shooting some of my best work lately (which is the way it should be as you grow) but this stuff I’m REALLY really damn proud of and T & C’s session was no exception.

Go ahead, check it out! You’ll see we escaped the rain until just the very very end! Which was not entirely a bad thing.

Not going to lie, would love a little more snow so I can go skiing next week.

I’d also love some to do some photos in. Snow is such a beautiful, natural light reflector that makes your images pop!

Anyone who knows me, knows that you take me into the woods for your photos and I am a happy photog! Of course today did not disappoint with that softer fall sunshine peeking through the trees at Golden Ears. Perfect way to kick off fall photos after not photographing clients for almost a month. 💜🌲
