Marie & James’ Wedding at Vancouver Museum & Steamworks [Vancouver Photographers]

Marie and James are an adventurous couple who compliment each other so well and as I found out during their engagement session at Golden Ears Park – a blast to hang out with. When they originally got in touch with us to do their wedding, I was very excited at the prospect of photographing at the Museum of Vancouver as Ryan and I have a bit of our own history there. It was one of the stops on the first “official” date Ryan took me on and I love when our couples have a little synastry with our own love story. However our day was a cold fall evening spent at the Planetarium as with Marie and James’ wedding we were lucky to have a gorgeous day for a w
edding ceremony out back. I didn’t even know they did weddings out on the back patio but after showing up and checking the place out – it was the perfect little spot to have a beautiful taste of Kitsilano with some privacy. Then we headed out to Gastown for their reception at Steamworks, a perfect contrast to their ocean view wedding and you better believe we did photos in both spots!

James and Marie are the kind of people you just can’t help but to smile when you are around and with the easy going nature of their day and loving people around them, this day was definitely a blast to photograph. Marie is one of the sweetest people you’ll meet – making sure that our needs were met on HER wedding day while James is there to keep the fun going.  Here are some of our favourites from the day!
